Welcome.

Hello, I’m Radha.

You might want to know a little more about me. When I'm not holding space for others you’ll find me in nature, swimming in all weathers, having fun with friends, meditating or hanging out with my 3 grown-up children. Currently living in my van enjoying the Northern Beaches again.

I’ve enjoyed exploring life over the last 30 years, as a yoga and meditation teacher, ashram-dweller, mother, massage therapist, birth educator and spiritual journeyer.

These experiences have given me a great depth of understanding of how people work, and got me to the point where I can really be with another person without my own stuff getting in the way.

I look forward to meeting you,

Experience.

In the birth space I have supported women before, during and after giving birth as a doula and I’ve given support to hundreds of women using pregnancy and post-natal massage. I’ve taught pre and post-natal yoga for 20 years, and have been doing birth education with couples for 7 years.

I lived and worked in an ashram for many years and I am committed to a deep yoga practice and a life shaped by yogic philosophy. I ran week-long family yoga retreats for over 10 years and teach individual and community yoga classes in various studios around Sydney.

I’ve been facilitating women's circles for 10 years and have worked extensively with women of all ages and life stages, from kids and teens to new mothers and (increasingly) women passing through menopause. I run open circles for all to attend as well as one-off private circles for celebrations and special events.

Influences

I’m influenced by many of the ideas emerging in western psychology including the work of Candace Pert and Bessel van der Kolk; research around Neural Plasticity, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Polyvagal Theory; and the Blue Knot Foundation’s Practice Guidelines for working with complex trauma.

My yoga lineage is in the Satyananda Yoga tradition and my training was in Integral Hatha Yoga, which includes the full breadth of yogic practice, Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Karma and Bhakti yoga. I am able to integrate a deep understanding of yogic philosophy into what I know of Western psychology and life.

I’ve had many mentors throughout my life and currently mentor under Gauri Ma Grace, an art therapist and expert in Women’s Mysteries studying anthropology from her tiny house on the Freedom Farm in Mangrove Mountain where she runs workshops on the ways of women’s wisdom.
